Trends generally arise from aCAUSE EFFECTThat is, depending on the sociocultural moment in which we find ourselves, one trend or another is born.

We can use the 2020 confinement as an example. Until then we had never spent so much time at home, but the pandemic forced us to change our way of living. Our home became a home where we dedicated the same space to work, play sports, leisure activities and even communicate with family and friends through a screen.

The birth of these goes from the beginning of sedentary lifestyle to the present and arises as a result of the evolution of art and architecture, that is, as new currents of art history are born, new styles emerge. • The Industrial Revolution marked a before and after in society, it gave rise to the creation of homes where technology was gradually introduced, which made people's lives much easier and they began to spend much more time at home.
• Another example that can help us understand these changes in style is the birth of Globalization, which allows products from all over the world to reach all homes. This new way of life gave way to a Colonial style, where homes had exotic influences.
• But it is not necessary to go back so many years to understand these changes in trends. The new society of the 20th and 21st centuries demands new buildings where we can share culture and moments of leisure. As a result, homes are created where comfort and functionality merge.

In short, we can say that each style has emerged as society has evolved. Each person, each country and each culture is a world and each one has their needs, which is why many of the existing decorative styles have been evolving and adapting to each situation. The mixture of different styles and movements has also generated new currents, giving a twist to everything that is already stipulated.
